1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Beat Bazaar ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
Beat Bazaar is a mobile music player application that allows you to play audio files stored locally on your device. The App provides features including playlist management, queue management, equalizer controls, audio waveform visualization, lyrics lookup, and music news.
The App does not provide music content. You are responsible for obtaining audio files through legitimate means.
3. Subscriptions and Purchases
Beat Bazaar offers optional paid plans to unlock premium features:
- Monthly subscription — Billed on a recurring monthly basis.
- Annual subscription — Billed on a recurring yearly basis.
- Lifetime purchase — A one-time payment granting permanent access to premium features.
Billing and Renewal
All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Beat Bazaar does not collect or store any payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.).
- Subscription prices are displayed in the App before purchase and may vary by region.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period.
Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Play Store account settings.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that date.
- No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. Beat Bazaar does not process refunds directly. To request a refund, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support through your device.
Free Features
The App remains functional without a subscription. Core music playback features are available to all users. Premium features are clearly identified within the App.
4. Subscription Management via RevenueCat
Subscriptions and purchases are managed through RevenueCat, a third-party service. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts and subscription status to verify and manage your entitlements. RevenueCat does not receive your payment credentials. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
5. User Responsibilities
By using the App, you agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure that all audio files you play through the App have been obtained legally and that you have the right to play them.
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
- Not attempt to circumvent any subscription or access restrictions.
- Not use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, logo, and user interface, is the intellectual property of Beat Bazaar and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You retain all rights to your audio files. Beat Bazaar does not claim any ownership over the content you play through the App.
7. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms:
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store — For app distribution and payment processing.
- RevenueCat — For subscription and purchase management.
- Google AdMob — For displaying advertisements.
- LRCLIB — For fetching song lyrics.
- Music news feeds — Google News, or a direct outlet feed (Pitchfork, Billboard, Stereogum, NME, Consequence) or custom feed you add, for music news content.
- MusicBrainz — For resolving canonical artist/album metadata (genre, release year).
- Wikipedia / Wikidata — For fetching artist/album description text shown on info screens.
Beat Bazaar is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.
8. Advertisements
The free version of the App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. You may watch a rewarded ad to disable all ads for the current app session. Subscribing to a premium plan may also remove advertisements.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy of lyrics, news content, or any information provided by third-party services.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Beat Bazaar and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid for the App or its subscriptions in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.
12. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at Beat Bazaar Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your data.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
